She has lived the last eleven years in three European countries (France, Germany, and Spain). The disparate cultures found within all of these communities have yielded an inverse understanding of their similarities. Drawing on her real-life experiences in the US and Europe, Nan has developed a unique insight into the humanity that binds us - not separates us - all.

As life's circumstances evolved, so did Nan's professional experiences. She started in entertainment (acting, talent management), then earned a Paralegal degree and worked in the legal field for more than a decade. Nan next made her living as a published author and college writing instructor. Her next career centered on inspirational and motivational speaking, keynote addresses, conferences, writing, television, and radio. During this time, she co-founded FAN Entertainment & Media, LLC, with esteemed Los Angeles attorney, Frank K. Wheaton. Currently, Nan has combined all of these experiences into her work as a creative activist, with an emphasis in the publishing, writing, entertainment production, and public speaking arenas.

From the time she was a young child, Nan had a desire to help others who were less fortunate. Her childhood efforts included organizing junior high student visitations to a local nursing home; working as a camp counselor for the Muscular Dystrophy Association; and fundraising for educational scholarships. Her philanthropy continued in adulthood with organizing donations to children whose parents were both serving in the Gulf War, and the support of multiple national and local charities. Today, Nan serves on three non-profit Boards of Directors in the areas of U.S. and African social justice and an equine assisted psychotherapy and learning facility.
